Matilde Santa Cruz has been cooking since she was a girl on her family’s ranch in Sonora. She will show us the art of making those incredible iconic kerchief size tortillas and we will prepare and enjoy a fabulous lunch cooked on a wood fired stove. The menu includes beans and rice and Menudo - if you have ever had this “breakfast of champions” and not loved it, get ready to be amazed at how delicious it is when prepared properly. This special class showcases the blend of heritage foods brought to this region by Father Kino and Native Americans.
Bring your Tupperware! there will be plenty to take home along with your tortillas.
